I’m an editor. Naturally, I read a lot of content while working. One such book is From Dark to Light: A Journey From Cultural to Biblical Christianity by Roger Simpson.
This book highlights the journey Roger Simpson took to arrive at what the Bible has to say about salvation and who God is through interesting Biblical concepts such as the “Law of First Mention.”
Anyone reading this book will be blessed by it, but I couldn’t help but think that this book would especially benefit a minister’s library. If there are any developing ministers who are seeking to deepen their understanding of why we do what we do as Apostolics and communicate it effectively to a congregation, this is certainly a book I’d recommend. That should in no wise deter others from consuming this read as it is certainly an easy read for folks new to Christianity with each point broken down with clarity and a plethora of supporting verses.
While reading this book, I would often feel compelled to call my sister or find anybody around to tell them what I’d just read. From Dark to Light is only $12.99, and it is scheduled to be released through Amazon on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026.
Signing off,
Nina Narlock
