To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
Doth not even nature itself teach you? 1 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV)
Life comes in seasons, and though not all are easy or understood, God uses every one for His purpose. Seasons aren’t random shifts—they’re defined periods of change, and if God established them in creation, it makes sense that His people experience spiritual seasons, too. Sometimes we’re thriving, and other times we’re just surviving—full one moment, empty the
next, watching things grow in one season and watching things die in another. Scripture still stands: there is a season, and a time, for every purpose under heaven.
SUMMER – HARVEST
Summer is a season of revival and abundance—when prayers are answered, joy is restored, and life feels fruitful—yet it also reminds us not to get comfortable, because even the best seasons shift, and harvest time won’t last forever.
FALL – SHEDDING
Fall is when God begins stripping what no longer fits—exposing attitudes, shifting relationships, breaking routines, and calling us into true repentance so He can rebuild us for what’s next.
WINTER – BURIAL
Winter feels cold, quiet, and unproductive, but God is doing a hidden work—because burial isn’t punishment, it’s preparation, and it’s often in the hardest seasons that He washes, delivers, and transforms us.
SPRING – RESURRECTION
Spring is the season of resurrection—when warmth returns, what looked dead begins to live again, and God proves the winter didn’t destroy you, it transformed you.
THE GOSPEL IN THE SEASONS
The most beautiful part of the seasons—literal and spiritual—is that they preach the gospel. Paul explains the gospel plainly: Christ died, was buried, and was raised again. The gospel is death, burial, and resurrection—and those same patterns shape the believer’s life.
If you’re in Summer, give God praise and stay humble.
If you’re in Fall, don’t fight the shedding—repent and let God prune you.
If you’re in Winter, don’t mistake silence for abandonment.
If you’re in Limbo, don’t lose your mind—God is still in control.
If you’re in Spring, step out of the grave clothes and walk in your new life.
Because to everything there is a season, and God is faithful in every one of them!
